Here Is What Our Customers and Readers Have To Say:
We have moved into our home and I wanted to let you know that the duct design you provided is nothing short of excellence. The air circulation in the home is great, we do not have any cold/hot zones, I did not have to balance the air registers, the unit maintains exact temperature at a very low speed on the evaporator fan. Thank you for your support in the design and the questioning attitude during the process. I know I couldn’t have designed the air distribution system this well.

"I am very glad that we found you on the internet. The contractors we found all had different opinions as to the size of furnace we needed. As you recommend on your website, we weeded out those that said we didn't need a manual J done, and then hired a contractor to install a Lennox 90,000 btu furnace, as per your calculations.
I must say we were concerned about replacing our 135,000 btu furnace with one so much smaller. Whew! The system works great! Thank you. I will tell my friends to use your company."

Thank You for the professional, prompt service!? I'm very impressed with the reports, design, and material list.? Thank you for being patient with me, I'm sure this heating system will exceed our expectations largely due to your services!
Hope all is well with you.
I just wanted to drop a note to you. Having lived in the house for about 2 years now where duct design was done by you. I have never encountered an area of the house where temperature is different that the rest of the house.
Before implementing your design, I had never seen a house where the whole house the same exact temperature at all times, the system is running. Granted that this is a single story house and most homes are two stories - I assume it would be much harder to keep the balance in such a home.
Anyway, thank you so much for your perfect design.

I wanted to let you know that our heat system is installed and working great. It is very quiet so far with just heat installed. Looks like it will be spring before the condenser gets installed. The two stages are great, and so far I would highly recommend this furnace. I see a lot of cold air returns that make too much noise so I am glad you sized this one the way you did.
Thanks for the service.
First off, this might have been the best money I have ever spent. So happy with the reports. I have 2 questions. What is the recommended tonnage? And, if I am reading this correctly, my returns are in the walls and down in the crawl space. Can I run the returns up in the attic? If so, what should my return vents be size wise?

"Hi, Dana. I don't know if you will remember our project. We used your service for a full heating and air conditioning design for our new home in Nashville.
We ended up installing a Carrier 90% furnace and 14 seer air conditioner.
Our contractor sized the equipment as per your calculations, and we insisted that he size and install the ducting as per your designs. SUCCESS! The heating system works very well. Air flow seems well balanced. We can't wait to see how the air conditioner performs next summer. Thanks for the time you put into our project."

Thank you so much for your information about air heat pumps and
their use in Utah. I too have recently considered a dual fuel/hybrid heat pump. I didn't know the heat from my register vent would be cooler than when using my gas furnace. This information will help me make my HVAC choices much clearer.

I visited your web site earlier today and wanted to congratulate you on the appearance, excellent content and accessibility I discovered there. It is not often I come across a web site that offers such a positive user experience and great information too.

Dana, my project is completed. Since it was a retrofit I had to re-route some ductwork and deviate from your drawings, but I always went back to them for CFM calcs to make sure I had proper volume of air.
My wife and son and friends did all the ductwork ourselves, ran all the electricity ourselves. We contracted out for the unit and install and it went very well.
Since I had never done this before, I would have been very nervous but I knew I had your design and Manual J calculations backing me up and gave me the confidence to get the job done.
It's a big success. Thanks again for all your work and answers.
